MSN, PMHNP-BC
Emily Moller
Emily Moller is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who joined Taos Behavioral Health in 2024. She started her career as a Registered Nurse in 2015. With a lifelong interest in psychology, Emily quickly learned that a degree in Nursing meant so much more than treating ‘just’ the body and disease.
With an unwavering passion for human connection and deep understanding of the symbiotic relationship between the body and mind, Emily was inspired to go back to graduate school. She received her MSN from University of California, San Francisco in 2022. Frustrated by the Medical Model, which often seeks to treat our physical symptoms and ignore the mind, Emily brings a unique, holistic and eclectic approach to Psychiatry. While she may recommend medication to support symptom reduction, Emily places deep emphasis on addressing the whole person (body, mind and spirit) to achieve homeostasis. She utilizes a biopsychosocial framework, humanistic and transpersonal approach while assessing multiple areas of wellness, to create a collaborative treatment plan with her clients.
Emily specializes in adults 18+ and has particular interest in Complex PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, and Neuropsychiatric Conditions. She has years of volunteer experience doing Psychedelic Harm Reduction/Peer Support in the music-festival setting, assisting individuals navigate difficult and/or non-ordinary states of consciousness. Emily has received additional certification as Psychedelic Assisted Therapist and is currently studying to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). Outside of work, some of Emily’s other interests include: electronic/bass music, dance, yoga, travel, and reading.
